Stock-trading platform for first-time investors

As the first designer at FiinGroup, my task was to create FiinTrade: a simple, approachable trading platform. Through user interviews, I and the product team identified the main challenge: excessive complexity and a lack of clear guidance.

I designed a step-by-step user journey, a customizable dashboard, real-time data verification for trust, and implemented light/dark modes for clarity. Over six months, I designed around 800 screens, collaborating with Japanese financial advisors, local developers, and pilot users to refine the experience.

As FiinTrade evolved, I rose from first designer to Lead Designer, building the company’s first design team and establishing design principles.

Launched in Jul-2019, FiinTrade gained thousands of users within a week, earning positive feedback for its simplicity. This project marked a significant step in my career, transitioning me to product design while proving the value of creating user-centered products.
